To watch boxing in the UK you mostly need DAZN, which now carries Matchroom, Queensberry and Anthony Joshua’s fights, plus occasional one-off events on Netflix, Sky Sports and Paramount+. Some fights are free on the BBC and Channel 5, and the very biggest nights are usually pay-per-view.
Because boxing rights follow promoters rather than leagues, the right service depends on the fight. This guide explains how the UK picture looks at the time of writing.
Who shows boxing in the UK?
| Service | Main promoters / events | Cost model |
|---|---|---|
| DAZN | Matchroom (five-year global deal), Queensberry, Anthony Joshua | Subscription plus PPV for the biggest fights |
| Sky Sports | Selected boxing events | Sky Sports subscription or NOW; PPV for some events |
| Netflix | One-off major events, such as Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua | Netflix subscription |
| Paramount+ | Selected UK shows | Paramount+ subscription |
| BBC | Boxxer cards, free-to-air | TV licence |
| Channel 5 | Wasserman Boxing, free-to-air | TV licence for live viewing |
TNT Sports no longer has its major partnership with Queensberry, so it shows far less boxing than it used to.
Unlike football, there is no single league that sells boxing rights. Each promoter signs its own deal, and individual mega-fights are sometimes sold separately to the highest bidder. That is why a fighter can appear on DAZN one month and Netflix the next, and why it pays to check the broadcaster for every event rather than assuming it will be on the service you already have. Matchroom’s DAZN deal alone includes at least 16 UK shows a year, so DAZN is the safest single subscription for regular viewers.
DAZN: the main home of UK boxing
DAZN is the service most UK fight fans end up with. According to DAZN’s UK help pages at the time of writing, the plans are:
- Monthly Flex: £25.99 a month, rolling, cancel with notice.
- Annual contract, paid monthly: £15.99 a month.
- Annual, paid upfront: £119.99 for the year.
All plans allow two concurrent streams. The biggest events cost extra as DAZN pay-per-views, which can only be watched on one device in one location. DAZN also offers an Ultimate tier that includes PPV events, so compare that if you buy several PPVs a year.
Big fights coming up
Upcoming UK-relevant events listed at the time of writing include:
| Date | Fight | Where to watch |
|---|---|---|
| Friday 11 December 2026 | Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua, Cardiff | Netflix |
| Saturday 19 December 2026 | Anthony Cacace vs Nick Ball, Belfast | DAZN |
Fight dates and broadcasters can change at short notice, so check the official announcements a few days before the event.
Free boxing on UK TV
Free-to-air boxing has made a comeback:
- BBC: Boxxer’s partnership with the BBC brings cards to BBC TV and iPlayer. A TV licence is required (£180 a year from April 2026).
- Channel 5: Wasserman Boxing has a partnership for free-to-air fights.
- YouTube: promoters and broadcasters post highlights, press conferences and some undercard action.
How pay-per-view works
- Check which platform sells the PPV: DAZN, Sky Sports Box Office or another service. Sports bundles from Sky, Virgin Media or EE usually do not include PPV boxing.
- Buy through the official app or website only. Many PPVs need an existing subscription to that platform first.
- Check the device rules. DAZN PPVs, for example, are one device and one location.
- Note the main-event time. UK ring walks for big fights are often late at night, and replays are usually available afterwards.
Avoid “free fight” links and cheap PPV playlists. They are illegal in the UK, they are actively targeted by broadcasters and FACT, and they are a common source of scams. Our guide on subscribing to IPTV safely explains how to spot them.
How to avoid paying twice
Because each promoter has its own broadcaster, it is easy to end up with several subscriptions running at once. A few habits keep costs down:
- Subscribe around the fights you want. Monthly plans on DAZN, Netflix and Paramount+ can be started a few days before a card and cancelled afterwards.
- Check whether a PPV needs a base subscription. Some platforms only sell PPVs to existing subscribers, which adds to the real cost.
- Compare annual plans honestly. DAZN’s annual options are much cheaper per month, but only if you will use it most months.
- Use free cards. BBC and Channel 5 events can fill the gaps between paid nights.
Getting set up
DAZN, Netflix, Paramount+ and NOW all have apps for smart TVs, streaming sticks and consoles. If you are choosing hardware, see our list of the best streaming devices, and our explainer on buffering if a main event freezes at the wrong moment.
For general live TV the rest of the week, our IPTV Journal plan costs $89 for 12 months. It is not a substitute for the official boxing platforms above, which hold the UK rights.
Which option should you choose?
- Regular fight fan: DAZN on an annual plan, plus PPVs as needed.
- Big nights only: buy each PPV or a month of the relevant service, then cancel.
- Budget viewer: BBC and Channel 5 free-to-air cards, plus Netflix if you already subscribe.
