Sunday afternoons: CBS, FOX and Sunday Ticket

Most of the season happens on Sunday afternoons. CBS carries more than 100 regular-season games and FOX carries the most games of any network this year. Which game you see depends on your local market, because CBS and FOX send different matchups to different regions.

  • Your local games: free with an antenna, or streamed through Paramount+ (CBS) and FOX One (FOX) in your area.
  • National late games: CBS has ten national 4:25 p.m. ET windows and FOX has America’s Game of the Week.
  • Every other Sunday afternoon game: only NFL Sunday Ticket, sold by YouTube. It does not include Sunday Night Football on NBC, Monday or Thursday games, or the playoffs.

If you are not sure your local stations come in clearly, our guide to the best TV antenna for local channels explains how to check reception before you buy.

Primetime: NBC, ESPN and Prime Video

Each primetime window has a single home this season.

  • Sunday Night Football (NBC and Peacock): 18 regular-season games, plus the kickoff game on Wednesday, September 9 (Patriots at Seahawks), Thanksgiving night, the first international Sunday night game in Mexico City on November 22, and a Peacock-only game on January 2.
  • Monday Night Football (ESPN and ABC): 17 games, with ten simulcast on ABC. Peyton and Eli Manning’s alternate broadcast returns for 12 games.
  • Thursday Night Football (Prime Video): weekly from Week 2 through Week 17. Games also air on local over-the-air stations in both teams’ home markets, so fans of the two teams can watch with an antenna.

Playoffs and Super Bowl LXI

The postseason follows the same split. CBS has a Wild Card game, a Divisional game and the AFC Championship. FOX has the NFC Championship. NBC has three playoff games, including a Sunday primetime Wild Card game, and ABC has a Wild Card and a Divisional game. Prime Video has one Wild Card game.

Super Bowl LXI is on Sunday, February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium. It airs on ESPN and ABC, the first Super Bowl in ESPN’s history, so anyone with an antenna can watch it free on their local ABC station.

One bill or several apps?

Live TV services bundle most of these networks into one app. YouTube TV’s base plan costs around $82.99 a month, and its Sports plan, which includes the broadcast networks, the ESPN channels, NFL Network and FS1, is around $64.99 a month. You still need Prime Video and Netflix separately for their exclusives.

Some fans prefer an all-in-one IPTV subscription instead. IPTV as a technology is legal, but services that rebroadcast channels without the rights are not, so confirm any provider is licensed for what it carries. Our guide to subscribing to IPTV safely covers what to check.

Which setup fits your viewing?

  • Home team fan in your home market: an antenna covers most Sundays and Sunday Night Football. Add Prime and ESPN for the weeks your team plays on Thursday or Monday.
  • Out-of-market fan: NFL Sunday Ticket is the only legal way to see every Sunday afternoon game of a team from another region.
  • Watch-everything fan: a live TV plan plus Prime Video and a month of Netflix in late November and December.
