How to Watch NFL in Canada: CTV, TSN, RDS and DAZN

If you are wondering how to watch NFL in Canada, there are two main legal routes. Bell Media broadcasts games on CTV (free with an antenna), TSN and, in French, RDS. And DAZN holds NFL Game Pass in Canada, which streams every game live, from preseason to the playoffs.

That is quite different from the US, where games are split between CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube. Canadians do not need most of those services. This guide explains which game is where, what it costs in CAD and how to combine options.

Who has NFL rights in Canada?

Bell Media has been the NFL’s Canadian broadcast home, spreading games across its channels. DAZN has held the NFL Game Pass rights in Canada since 2017. Here is how it has worked in recent seasons; check listings each week as Bell and DAZN adjust their schedules.

In short: Bell gives you a selection of games each week, while DAZN gives you all of them.

Watching NFL for free with an antenna

CTV is a free over-the-air network in most Canadian cities. With a basic indoor or rooftop antenna, you can watch the Sunday afternoon games CTV carries, plus the playoffs and the Super Bowl, at no monthly cost.

Reception depends on your distance from the transmitter. Our indoor antenna guide and local channels antenna guide explain what to buy.

DAZN NFL Game Pass: every game, live

DAZN is the most complete NFL option in Canada. NFL Game Pass on DAZN covers every game live from the preseason through the postseason, along with full and condensed replays and extra programming.

DAZN’s own July 2026 pricing listed Canadian tiers starting at around $24.99 per month on a 12-month plan, with higher tiers for more sports and features, such as no pre-roll ads and multi-view. Month-to-month pricing tends to be higher, so compare options on DAZN’s site before you sign up.

Unlike in the US, Canadian fans do not need YouTube’s Sunday Ticket to watch out-of-market Sunday games. DAZN covers them.

TSN and RDS streaming

If you want Bell’s primetime broadcasts with Canadian commentary and studio shows, the TSN app is the streaming route without cable. Daily Hive listed full TSN streaming at around $29.99 per month or $244.99 per year in July 2026, and noted a lower-priced option with NFL RedZone content. In September 2025, Bell ran a four-month NFL promotion for $69.99, so watch for similar offers each autumn.

French-speaking fans can follow the season on RDS, which covers Sunday afternoon and primetime games through the Super Bowl.

Building your setup

Here are some practical combinations, from cheapest to most complete.

  1. Free: An antenna for CTV Sunday games, the playoffs and the Super Bowl.
  2. Primetime fan: CTV plus TSN streaming for Thursday, Sunday and Monday nights.
  3. Every game: DAZN NFL Game Pass on its own.
  4. Fantasy player: DAZN plus TSN’s RedZone option for whip-around coverage.

Cost comparison for a full season

Here is a rough look at what a regular season might cost under each approach, using prices at the time of writing. All figures are in CAD and exclude tax.

SetupApprox. monthly costCoverage
Antenna only$0 after buying the antennaCTV Sunday games, playoffs, Super Bowl
TSN streamingAround $29.99Primetime games and Canadian studio shows
DAZN Standard (12-month plan)Around $24.99Every game live, plus replays
DAZN plus antennaAround $24.99Every game, plus free CTV broadcasts

Because the NFL season runs from September to February, a monthly plan only during those months can be cheaper than an annual one if you do not use the service for anything else.

What about Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube games?

Several US broadcasters hold exclusive NFL packages south of the border, including Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football. In Canada, those games have been carried by TSN and DAZN instead, so check Canadian listings rather than assuming a US service applies. Do not use VPN tricks or unofficial streams to reach US feeds; they break services’ terms and, in the case of unlicensed streams, Canadian copyright law.

If you want a broader live TV package for news and entertainment alongside your sports apps, our own plan, IPTV Journal, is $89 for 12 months; see our pricing section. For NFL games, CTV, TSN, RDS and DAZN are the licensed choices.

Which NFL option should you choose?

If you only watch your team when it is on CTV, an antenna is enough. If you want the big primetime games with Canadian coverage, add TSN. If you follow a specific team every week or play fantasy football seriously, DAZN NFL Game Pass is the most complete answer, since it carries every game.

Many fans pair DAZN with a free antenna for CTV’s broadcasts, which gives full coverage at a modest monthly cost.
